The 2013 Ladies of Horror

A native of North Carolina, Hydra M. Star is a Southern Belle straight from Hell. At a very early age she developed a deep interest in demonology, the paranormal, and the occult. A long time member of the Church of Satan, wherein she holds the rank and title of Witch, Hydra has never lost her passion for things that go bump in the night. Instead she has used this passion to fuel her many creative endeavors.

Hydra is a dark fiction writer, poet, columnist, and editor. She also owns and publishes, along with her artistic partner Dave Lipscomb, Infernal Ink Magazine, a literary magazine focused on bringing readers stories that embody evil in all it’s gory, humorous, and carnal glory. Some of her other magazine work includes writing for Twisted Dreams Magazine, where she has her own column "Hydra's Hell". It is through this column, once dedicated to book reviews, that she covers devilish topics of interest to both herself and society at large.

Hydra also has a number of books in the works containing her own writing, including a collection of short fiction titled Prior to the Empire which will be the prelude for her novel series The Chronicles of the Infernal Empire.

Currently Miller is working hard on the 2013 Ladies and Gents. A novel about a very angry ogress, and a short story in the vein of her popular short, The Shewolf.

Elyse Draper

Elyse Draper, as a native Coloradan, brings a distinctive vision of the Rocky Mountains to life. When that sight is combined with her love of world travel, history, sociological sciences, psychology, and humanism, the outcome is a setting that spans the world and imagination. that aptitude when mixed with an educational background of law, philosophy and French, brings the result of a fantastic yet realistic renaissance story line, ultimately taking the reader on an exceptional journey.

She has a visceral writing style that is both melodious and uncluttered, coming from an enduring love of poetry. The unique cadence, when coupled with dark fiction, provides an intriguing and memorable read. Her inspiration and understanding of the darker side of literature, and life, is drawn from the intimate experiences she has had in coping with hospice work, and terminally ill patients. That knowledge brings humanism to her plots, and unexpected emotions to her character development.

2012 marked the release of Elyse's Freewill Trilogy: "Freewill", "Consequences", and "Vindication", a Young Adult Dark Fantasy, which has already been accepted with rave reviews. All books can be found in digital format, wherever eBooks are sold; while also being available in paperback and Amazon.com and Createspace. For more information, and direct links to find Elyse's work, please visit her webpage at www.ElyseDraper.webs.com. While there, keep an eye out for the release of her latest novel, "Overtaken": a science fiction tale that spans centuries, and asks if humanity deserves to continue to live on the world they have taken for granted.

Jane Timm Baxter

The true infant Jane was replaced with a mischievous, occasionally malevolent, fey changeling in 1976, who grew up contemplating how she could use her powers without divulging her true nature. In 1995, she tricked human James Baxter into marrying her, and then meticulously began to write down the chronicles of her ancestors. Disguising her work as fiction, the creature known as Jane Timm Baxter finally achieved her goal of infiltrating the world of publishing when she decided to publish and market her work in e-book format. Currently, she is continuing to encode secret messages to her kin in the form of “novels,” and believes that world domination is just a few more words away.

In her rush to “fit in” among the humans, Baxter unfortunately chose a human vessel that is less than efficient in the realm of health. Having not expected such an ongoing battle with her vessel, Baxter is currently limited in the time and energy she can apply toward her goal of world domination through art and writing. To aid her in her schemes, she employs the mischievous help of “The Chi-Baxter Pack” – four fairy spirits inhabiting the tiny bodies of canis familiaris chihuahuas. At this time, nothing else may be revealed concerning the true nature and mission of The Chi-Baxter Pack, under penalty of death.

Those who are familiar only with Jane Timm Baxter in her human disguise, frequently describe her as any and all of the following: interesting, weird, amusing, annoying, freak, talented, dark, disturbed, sick (as in physically ill,) sick (as in mentally ill) and unique. Whether or not any of these words are accurate descriptions of any part of Baxter remains to be proven.
